Videix was in the old archpriest of Saint-Junien. The bishop of Limoges always appointed the rectors there. The building consists of a single nave of five bays, the last forming the choir terminating in a straight chevet. A chapel was added to the north, flanking the third bay, as well as a sacristy on the north side of the chevet. The bell tower which surmounts the second bay is of rectangular plan and pierced with two square windows. It is covered with a pavilion roof by tile-shaped roof-tiles. There are few examples of this type of bell tower in Limousin, rather characteristic of Charente bell towers. The north façade is pierced with a Limousin portal with pointed arch and triple voussures underlined by small columns which rest on sculpted sandstone capital-friezes. In the interior, the five bays are vaulted with a broken barrel vault and rhythmed with large doublet arches which rest on semi-circular engaged columns with dressed capitals. The vaulting received, in the 19th century, painted decoration consisting of a black crosshatch on a white background imitating ashlar. The entire walls of the nave were decorated with polychrome mural paintings of different periods of which several fragments remain.
