Historique
Vieille seigneurie remontant au 11e siècle. Le château actuel fut construit dans la seconde moitié du 18e siècle, généralement attribué à l'architecte Brousseaud. L'édifice se compose d'un long bâtiment avec un avant-corps central peu avancé, surmonté d'un fronton triangulaire. Les fenêtres sont surmontées de linteaux en segment. Des chaînages de pierre de taille de refend marquent les arêtes. Une corniche termine l'édifice. Les étages sont élevés sur un rez-de-chaussée, un escalier à double évolution faisant accéder au premier étage. Deux bandeaux séparent les étages. A l'intérieur, l'entrée presque carrée, décorée d'arcades, donne accès à un escalier soutenu par des piliers carrés. Au sous-sol se trouvent les cuisines et les dépendances. Au premier étage, un long couloir dessert les chambres. Le salon et les pièces voisines conservent des cheminées d'époque et quelques boiseries. L'édifice a été pillé en 1944.

History
Old seigneury dating back to the 11th century. The present château was built in the second half of the 18th century, generally attributed to architect Brousseaud. The building is composed of a long building with a slightly projecting central avant-corps, topped by a triangular pediment. The windows are surmounted by lintels in segment. Rusticated stone ashlar chainages mark the corners. A cornice terminates the building. The storeys are raised above a ground floor, a double-flight staircase giving access to the first floor. Two bands separate the storeys. Inside, the almost square entrance, decorated with arcades, gives access to a staircase supported by square pillars. In the basement are found the kitchens and dependencies. On the first floor, a long corridor serves the bedrooms. The drawing room and neighbouring rooms retain fireplaces of the period and some wainscoting. The building was pillaged in 1944.
