Historique
Le patronage de l'église, ancien prieur-cure, appartenait à la prévoôté d'Evaux au 17e siècle, puis à la Sainte-Chapelle de Riom. L'église a été construite à la fin du 11e siècle ou au début du 12e. De cette époque subsistent les deux travées du choeur, le reste du bâtiment ayant entièrement été refait sans doute au 19e siècle. L'arc triomphal légèrement brisé marquant le seuil entre la nef et le choeur, repose sur des colonnes à chapiteaux sculptés de feuillages au sud et de deux personnages encadrant un arbre de vie au nord. Sur le mur nord de la première travée de choeur, au-dessous d'une baie ébrasée, subsiste une crédence double en plein cintre, surmontée de fragments de décor peint à motifs géométriques et polychromes.

History
The patronage of the church, former prior-curate, belonged to the provost of Evaux in the 17th century, then to the Holy Chapel of Riom. The church was built at the end of the 11th century or the beginning of the 12th. From this period survive the two bays of the choir, the rest of the building having been entirely remade, no doubt in the 19th century. The slightly pointed triumphal arch marking the threshold between the nave and the choir rests on columns with capitals sculpted with foliage to the south and with two figures flanking a tree of life to the north. On the north wall of the first choir bay, below a splayed opening, survive a double credence in round arch, surmounted by fragments of painted decoration with geometric and polychrome motifs.
