Historique
Le patronage de l'église appartenait à l'évêque de Limoges. L'église, formée d'un clocher-porche, est formée d'une nef de trois travées, dont la dernière forme choeur à chevet droit. Le vestibule du porche dont la coupole sur pendentifs est percée d'un oculus à sa clé, prend appui sur quatre grands arcs brisés reçus sur impostes. Chapiteaux sculptés. Dans le mur sud du choeur sont percées deux piscines jumelées en tracé plein cintre chanfreiné. Le clocher-porche avait des baies en tiers-point, et possède un étage percé sur chaque face d'une baie en plein cintre de type limousin, mais la présence d'une gorge sur les piédroits parait indiquer une époque plus récente que le 12e siècle. History
The patronage of the church belonged to the bishop of Limoges. The church, formed of a porch tower, comprises a nave of three bays, the last of which forms the choir with a straight chevet. The vestibule of the porch, whose dome on pendentives is pierced by an oculus at its keystone, is supported on four large pointed arches resting on imposts. Carved capitals. In the south wall of the choir are pierced two paired piscinae with a bevelled round-arch profile. The porch tower had pointed-arch openings, and has a storey pierced on each face by a round-arch opening of Limousin type, but the presence of a gorge on the jambs appears to indicate a later period than the 12th century. The building was fortified in the 14th or 15th century.
