La partie la plus ancienne de l'édifice fut bâtie vers 1380, constituant un grand bâtiment carré de deux étages, pourvu de mâchicoulis avec chemin de ronde et flanqué de trois tours dont l'une, la tour centrale carrée, contient l'escalier en colimaçon. Vers 1645, la construction est mise au goût du jour. Sur la tour d'escalier fut posé un toit de forme nouvelle, surmonté d'une lanterne. History
The oldest part of the building was erected around 1380, forming a large square building of two storeys, furnished with machicolations with rampart walk and flanked by three towers, one of which, the central square tower, contains the spiral staircase. Around 1645, the building was brought up to date. On the stair tower a roof of new form was placed, surmounted by a lantern. Two low wings, with dormers, were erected, as well as the turrets, one of which contains the chapel. Access to the inner courtyard is by an entrance portal preceded by a bridge over the ditch. The old entrance was flanked by two low round towers, only one of which remains. In the inner courtyard, a 16th-century fountain with basins. A small Renaissance fountain is located in the park. At the time of the Fronde, the prince of Condé is said to have stayed in this castle.
