History
This building is characteristic of the 17th century, in its general layout and its decoration (door and dormers with pediments flanked by pedestals surmounted by balls). Building of rectangular plan with central straight staircase. The large ground floor room presents beams covered with decoration in painted foliage scrolls and flowers in blue monochrome, as well as sculpted woodwork. Similarly, the bedroom presents moulded joinery and painted decoration on the beams (foliage scrolls, flowers, animals); the joists are adorned with a small flower. The building comprises a dairy, a bakery and mansarded attics. The château belonged to the tutor of La Fayette, Antoine Foureton.
