Felletin possédait un fort dès la guerre de Cent ans. La ville était, au 15e siècle, l'une des neuf châtellenies du comté de la Marche. History
Felletin possessed a fort as early as the Hundred Years War. The town was in the 15th century one of nine castellanies of the county of la Marche. After the Hundred Years War, its fortifications, of which this tower is the most important remaining part, were probably put back in order at the time of the Wars of Religion. This circular tower flanked the south side of the town's enclosure. Its facing presents irregular coursing without trace of ancient openings. Of its machicolated crown there remains the complete row of corbels that supported it. Of the enclosure wall that it flanked there remains a fracture line in rubble masonry on the east side.
