Historique
L'existence de Puymège est attestée dès le 13e siècle et son propriétaire est alors collecteur des impôts d'une partie de la vicomté de Turenne. Des traces anciennes encore visibles (tour de défense avancée et mur d'enceinte du potager) témoignent d'une certaine étendue des constructions. L'aspect villégiature se développe surtout à partir de la fin du 17e siècle avec le réaménagement du château largement ouvert sur l'extérieur. Ces transformations se poursuivent au 19e siècle. Le bâtiment de deux étages sur la voûte d'entrée avec son escalier en vis, prolongé de chaque côté par des constructions basses à usage d'habitation et de cellier, a été construit à la fin du 16e siècle. Décor intérieur du château du 18e siècle. Jardin de la seconde moitié du 18e siècle.

History
The existence of Puymège is attested from the 13th century and its owner was then a tax collector for part of the viscounty of Turenne. Ancient traces still visible (advanced defence tower and boundary wall of the kitchen garden) testify to a certain extent of the buildings. The holiday residence aspect develops especially from the end of the 17th century with the remodelling of the château largely open to the outside. These transformations continue in the 19th century. The two-storey building over the entrance vault with its spiral staircase, extended on each side by low buildings for residential and cellar use, was built at the end of the 16th century.
