Historique
La paroisse existait vers l'an 1000. Un différent opposa au 12e siècle le prieuré de Bort à l'abbaye de Tulle pour la possession de l'église. Bien que les droits revinrent à l'abbaye, le prieuré prit l'église par la force, mais l'église revint cependant à l'abbaye au cours du même siècle. Edifiée au 13e siècle, l'église actuelle est composée d'une nef unique de trois travées et d'un choeur semi circulaire. A l'exception de la première travée plafonnée, le reste est voûté sur croisée d'ogives. Les baies sont rares et étroites. Le portail occidental, à trois rouleaux en arc brisé, est sans tympan. History
The parish existed around the year 1000. A dispute opposed the priory of Bort to the abbey of Tulle in the 12th century for possession of the church. Although the rights reverted to the abbey, the priory took the church by force, but the church nonetheless returned to the abbey during the same century. Built in the 13th century, the present church is composed of a single nave of three bays and a semi-circular choir. With the exception of the first bay which is coffered, the remainder is vaulted on rib vault. Openings are rare and narrow. The western portal, with three mouldings in pointed arch, is without a tympanum. The façade is surmounted by a small bell tower with two arcades. The small door of the first southern bay, surmounted by a lintel decorated with an accolade arch, was certainly pierced in the 15th century. The interior shows a series of foliage capitals still very close to the Romanesque.
