Historique
Le village était autrefois une dépendance du prieuré de Port-Dieu. La cure fut ensuite rattachée à l'évêché de Tulle. L'église romane en granit s'ouvre par un portail polylobé abrité par un porche profond couvert d'un berceau plein-cintre. Elle se compose d'une nef unique, d'un choeur qui se termine par une abside semi-circulaire voûtée en cul-de-four. Au sud, une chapelle ouvre dans la troisième travée de la nef. Elle communique avec une seconde chapelle ouvrant sur le choeur. Un arc triomphal en plein-cintre retombant sur des demi colonnes aux chapiteaux sculptés (têtes, feuillage, fleur) , sépare la nef du choeur. History
The village was formerly a dependency of the priory of Port-Dieu. The parish was subsequently attached to the bishopric of Tulle. The Romanesque granite church opens by a polylobed portal sheltered by a deep porch covered with a round arch barrel vault. It consists of a single nave, a choir which terminates in a semicircular apse vaulted with a cul-de-four. To the south, a chapel opens into the third bay of the nave. It communicates with a second chapel opening onto the choir. A triumphal round arch resting on half-columns with sculpted capitals (heads, foliage, flowers), separates the nave from the choir. The capitals of the apse are also sculpted (palmettes, stars, interlacing).
