Historique
Croix de granit dont la partie supérieure, en forme de monstrance, représente, sur la face principale, le Christ entre la Vierge et Saint-Jean, sous une arcature trilobée surmontée d'un fronton. Sur le revers, également sous une arcature, la Vierge assise tient l'Enfant Jésus entre deux chandeliers. Sur les deux faces latérales se voient deux petits saints paraissant mitrés, placés dans des niches. Le fût octogonal dans la partie supérieure, carré dans la partie inférieure, est orné de quatre croix de Malte gravées. Ce fût semble planté comme un épieu et transpercer le corps d'un bélier. Le tout repose sur un socle carré. Cette croix se trouvait placée sensiblement à distances égales des commanderies des Templiers de Bourganeuf, d'Uzerches et d'Ussel, au point de croisement des anciennes voies romaines qui réunissaient ces trois villes sur le plateau de Millevaches.

History
Granite cross whose upper part, in the form of a monstrance, represents, on the main face, Christ between the Virgin and Saint John, beneath a trilobed arcature surmounted by a pediment. On the reverse, likewise beneath an arcature, the Virgin seated holds the Child Jesus between two candlesticks. On the two side faces appear two small saints appearing to be mitered, placed in niches. The shaft, octagonal in the upper part, square in the lower part, is decorated with four engraved Maltese crosses. This shaft appears to be planted like a spear and pierce through the body of a ram. The whole rests on a square base. This cross was placed at roughly equal distances from the commanderies of the Templars of Bourganeuf, Uzerches and Ussel, at the intersection of the old Roman roads which united these three cities on the Millevaches plateau.
