Saint-Yriex et Sainte-Pélagie, sa mère, avaient donné vers l'an 572, l'église au monastère de ce lieu. On en fit une importante prévôté monastique dépendant de l'abbaye de Tulle. La prévôté nommait à la cure, levait les dîmes et possédait château sur le flanc nord de l'église. L'église édifiée au début du 14e siècle, est constituée d'une nef unique voûtée d'ogives. Extension d'une travée à l'est au 19e siècle. Les deux chapelles qui s'ouvrent sur la troisième travée remontent au 18e siècle (1747) pour l'une, et à une époque postérieure pour l'autre. Tourelle d'escalier présente sur le côté sud. Clocher à arcades.

History
Saint-Yriex and Sainte-Pélagie, his mother, had given around the year 572 the church to the monastery of that place. It was made an important monastic provostry depending on the abbey of Tulle. The provostry appointed to the curacy, levied the tithes and possessed a castle on the north flank of the church. The church built at the beginning of the 14th century is constituted of a single nave vaulted with ribs. Extension of a bay to the east in the 19th century. The two chapels which open onto the third bay date back to the 18th century (1747) for one, and to a later period for the other. Stair turret present on the south side. Bell tower with arcades.
