Historique
Eglise présentant un caractère assez nettement auvergnat. Proche de la grande voie transversale Clermont-Toulouse-Bordeaux, l'architecture de cette église a reçu les influences méridionales et auvergnates. Le sanctuaire se compose d'une nef unique, d'un choeur et d'une abside semi circulaire voûtée en cul de four. Un arc triomphal plein cintre à double rouleau sépare la travée précédente de l'abside. Cet arc repose sur des colonnes aux chapiteaux décorés d'animaux fantastiques. Portail polylobé appareillé que protège un porche massif et profond. L'édifice est roman, probablement du 12e siècle. La baie axiale que surmonte un larmier semble dater du gothique tardif. De plan barlong et de proportions massives, le clocher à un étage est percé d'arcatures géminées avec de curieux chapiteaux. Les chapelles latérales sont des additions modernes.

History
Church presenting a distinctly Auvergnat character. Close to the great transversal thoroughfare Clermont-Toulouse-Bordeaux, the architecture of this church received southern and Auvergnat influences. The sanctuary is composed of a single nave, a choir and a semicircular apse vaulted with a cul-de-four. A round-arch triumphal arch with double roll separates the preceding bay from the apse. This arch rests on columns with capitals decorated with fantastic animals. Polylobed portal with ashlar construction protected by a massive and deep porch. The building is Romanesque, probably from the 12th century. The axial opening surmounted by a drip mould appears to date from late Gothic. Of oblong plan and massive proportions, the one-storey bell tower is pierced with paired arcatures with curious capitals. The side chapels are modern additions.
