History
Building constructed around 1060-1070, enlarged from the 12th to 15th century and fortified in the 16th century during the Wars of Religion. The bell tower, perhaps the oldest of the regional group of "Limousin" gable bell towers, would date from the early 12th century. Two storeys of square plan are topped by two octagonal levels, the transition from the square to the octagon being concealed by gables. The first two storeys have their openings emphasized by arches, pilasters, columns with carved capitals. Sculpted tympanum.
