Eglise abbatiale Saint-Pierre du 12e siècle. Vestiges de l'ancienne abbaye du 12e et du 17e siècle. L'église et la salle capitulaire élevée dans le prolongement du bras nord de son transept, sont les seules parties intégralement conservées de l'abbaye bénédictine fondée par Raoul de Turenne, archevêque de Bourges. La partie la plus importante des restes des anciens logis monastiques est constituée par le mur qui, dans l'alignement du mur nord de l'ancienne salle capitulaire, se poursuit vers l'ouest jusqu'à la rue de la République. Il formait la façade sud du corps de logis fermant le préau au nord. Il s'ouvrait par une rangée de fenêtres dont subsiste une partie des montants vers l'ouest. Sur sa partie ouest, il est percé d'un portail à l'arc en anse de panier. Le logis monastique joignant l'église ne s'étendait pas jusqu'au précédant. Une petite cour ou un passage se trouvait entre les deux.

History
Abbey church of Saint-Pierre from the 12th century. Remains of the former abbey from the 12th and 17th centuries. The church and the chapter house elevated in the continuation of the north arm of its transept are the only entirely preserved parts of the Benedictine abbey founded by Raoul de Turenne, archbishop of Bourges. The most important part of the remains of the old monastic dwellings consists of the wall which, in alignment with the wall north of the former chapter house, continues westward to the rue de la République. It formed the south facade of the building closing the courtyard to the north. It opened with a row of windows of which part of the mullions survives towards the west. On its western part, it is pierced by a doorway with a basket-handle arch. The monastic dwelling adjoining the church did not extend as far as the preceding one. A small courtyard or passage existed between the two.
