Historique
Artillac fut, sous les Carolingiens, le chef-lieu d'une vicairie civile. De l'église primitive, édifiée au 14e siècle, ne subsiste plus que le clocher porche. Le reste de l'édifice a été réparé en 1787 et 1838. A l'extérieur, présentent de l'intérêt le porche d'entrée, le tympan du portail sud et le réseau flamboyant des baies du chevet, amputées de leur meneau. Nef, chapelles et abside sont couvertes de voûtes d'ogives du 16e siècle dont les nervures sont profilées d'un méplat entre deux cavets. De grandes arcades légèrement brisées, aux arêtes biseautées, ouvrent sur les chapelles latérales. L'abside à cinq pans est percée, au centre de chaque pan, d'une fenêtre en arc brisé à remplage trilobé.

History
Under the Carolingians, Artillac was the chief town of a civil vicariat. Of the primitive church, built in the 14th century, only the porch tower remains. The rest of the building was repaired in 1787 and 1838. Externally, the entrance porch, the tympanum of the south portal and the Flamboyant tracery of the windows of the chevet, deprived of their mullion, are of interest. The nave, chapels and apse are covered with rib vaults of the 16th century whose ribs are profiled with a flat between two cavets. Large slightly pointed arches with bevelled edges open onto the lateral chapels. The five-sided apse is pierced, in the centre of each side, by a window with a pointed arch and trilobe tracery.
