The site has been occupied since the Roman period. The church is mentioned for the first time in 1113, at the time of its donation to the monastery of Gorgona. In 1445, it comes under the jurisdiction of the Charterhouse of Calvi. In the 16th century, it loses its status as a pievane church due to the depopulation of the coast caused by Barbary raids. The church was rebuilt in the 16th century and underwent alterations in the 18th century. Of rectangular plan, the chapel terminates with a chevet comprising two semi-circular apses vaulted with a cul-de-four vault. The east elevation is crowned by a turret pierced with two round arch openings.
