History
Built in the 12th century, this chapel belonged to the Ligurian Benedictine monastery San Bartolomeo del Fossato. The building was substantially remodelled in the 17th and 18th centuries. The roof structure was replaced by a vault, which required the addition of pilasters on the lateral walls. The chapel presents a gable façade pierced by a door whose pilasters support lions sculpted in the round. Semi-circular chevet. Blind arcatures are supported by the pilasters of the apse. Decoration of circles and diamonds deploys along the wall.
