Historique
Construit en moellons de schiste avec chaînage d'angle, l'édifice est de plan rectangulaire prolongé par un choeur à chevet plat. Au sud du choeur, séparé de l'église, se trouve un clocher massif tronqué, surmonté d'un petit campanile en fer forgé. La façade principale, de style baroque, est précédée d'un large perron de pierre. Elle est à trois niveaux, l'étage supérieur plus étroit couronné d'un fronton triangulaire à ressauts, étant relié à celui du dessous par des ailerons de dessin chantourné se terminant par des consoles renversées. L'élévation est rythmée par des pilastres superposés qui encadrent un portail en plein cintre, surmonté d'une baie quadrilobée et en partie haute d'une baie rectangulaire. A l'intérieur, des pilastres composites soutiennent un entablement monumental au-dessus duquel la voûte à pénétration détermine des lunettes où s'inscrivent des baies rectangulaires. History
Built in schist rubble stone with corner quoining, the building is rectangular in plan extended by a choir with flat chevet. To the south of the choir, separate from the church, is found a massive truncated bell tower, surmounted by a small bell turret in wrought iron. The main façade, in baroque style, is preceded by a wide flight of stone steps. It is in three storeys, the upper storey narrower crowned by a triangular pediment with projections, being connected to that below by wings of curved design terminating in inverted consoles. The elevation is rhythmed by superposed composite pilasters which frame a round arch portal, surmounted by a quadrilobate opening and in the upper part by a rectangular opening. Inside, composite pilasters support a monumental entablement above which the penetration vault determines lunettes in which rectangular openings are inscribed. The whole is adorned with rich gypseous decoration and neo-classical painted decoration.
