Historique
Tour achevée en 1591, faisant partie des huit tours de la juridiction de Bonifacio. Elle relevait de la camera pour son entretien et le paiement de sa garnison. Elle a dû être restaurée peu après l'incursion turque de 1703. Son originalité vient de ce qu'elle est, avec la tour de Porto, la seule tour carrée du sud.££C'est un ouvrage de plan carré présentant un léger fruit à partir du cordon qui se situait au milieu de l'édifice et dont il ne subsiste que des fragments dans l'élévation est. La terrasse qui la domine est ceinte d'un parapet et comporte une guérite dans l'angle sud-est. Dans l'élévation sud, la porte au-dessus du cordon est devenue une large brèche. A l'intérieur, les planchers ont disparu. L'appareil de blocs de granit est percé, dans toutes les élévations, de trous de boulins.

History
Tower completed in 1591, forming part of the eight towers of the jurisdiction of Bonifacio. It fell under the camera for its maintenance and the payment of its garrison. It must have been restored shortly after the Turkish incursion of 1703. Its originality comes from the fact that it is, with the tower of Porto, the only square tower of the south. It is a work of square plan presenting a slight slope from the string course which was situated in the middle of the building and of which only fragments remain in the east elevation. The terrace which dominates it is surrounded by a parapet and has a sentry box in the south-east corner. In the south elevation, the door above the string course has become a wide breach. Inside, the floors have disappeared. The apparatus of granite blocks is pierced, in all elevations, with putlog holes.
