A partir d'une tour génoise édifiée au 16e siècle s'est déployée, dans la deuxième moitié du 18e siècle, à la demande de l'intendant de Corse, une enceinte cantonnée de quatre tours circulaires. A l'intérieur de cette enceinte court un chemin de ronde. L'accès à cet ensemble fortifié est commandé par une porte surmontée d'un linteau monolithe, percée dans le mur d'enceinte.

History
Starting from a Genoese tower erected in the 16th century developed, in the second half of the 18th century, at the request of the intendant of Corsica, an enclosure flanked by four circular towers. Inside this enclosure runs a chemin de ronde. Access to this fortified complex is commanded by a gate surmounted by a monolithic lintel, pierced in the enclosure wall.
