Historique
Les travaux furent exécutés de 1752 à 1760 sur les plans de Hupeau, en même temps que les immeubles de la rue Royale. L'entrée de cette rue a été conçue au 18e siècle pour être l'entrée sud de la ville. Elle se compose de deux maisons symétriques à frontons en tympan s'appuyant, pour chacune d'elles, sur des chapiteaux corinthiens, eux-mêmes dominant quatre pilastres classiques. History
The works were executed from 1752 to 1760 on the plans of Hupeau, at the same time as the buildings on rue Royale. The entrance to this street was designed in the 18th century to be the southern entrance to the town. It consists of two symmetrical houses with tympanum pediments, each resting on Corinthian capitals, themselves dominating four classical pilasters. The lower storey is treated in rustication. On rue Royale, it was pierced with arcades. The first floor is pierced with tall windows decorated with flat moulded panels with a round arch lintel. The second is pierced with attic windows. The roof spaces are lit by two fine stone dormers whose entablature is likewise rounded.
