History
Jeanne d'Arc Street is lined with houses built almost all at the same period, following a municipal ordinance which fixed their general layout and principal dimensions. Cornices ran everywhere at the same height and the bands of the storeys are placed at the same level. The architecture is different on each facade, but everywhere on the same scale. This ordinance was intended to enhance the cathedral. This building was destroyed by bombardments in the Second World War and rebuilt identically.
