History
The building is said to have been constructed between 1635 and 1641, but was not completed. Part of both wings on the courtyard and an entire wing on the garden are missing. The interior decorations were carried out in the 18th century on the orders of monseigneur de Jarente. To the east of the courtyard on the street, a gateway connected this courtyard to the outbuildings of the bishopric. The buildings still retain their original layouts despite some modifications. On the east and south faces of the service courtyard, the arcaded façades shelter the carriage houses.
