Historique

History
The castle presents itself as a quadrilateral whose curtain walls are flanked by ten large circular towers. The stonework is of brick with visible stone chain courses. To the west is found the entrance with a fixed bridge which appears to date from the 17th century, remade in 1939. To the left of this entrance opens a covered gallery, from the middle of the 16th century. Following this, another covered gallery opens which extends the one from the west and runs along the north curtain wall. To the right of this gallery open ancient low rooms, built in the 16th century on infrastructure perhaps slightly earlier. Against the east curtain wall are set ancient stables, with a double nave. The central tower of the east façade has been demolished. An old kiln for local pottery is found next to it. It is possible that it originally served as a chapel for the castle. Against the south curtain wall are set some buildings for agricultural use and the dwelling of the owners. Projecting forward on this façade and situated in the courtyard, a barn appears to date from the middle of the 17th century. The castle is surrounded by moats dug from living rock, transformed into flower beds.
