Historique
Tour romane pouvant dater du 11e ou 12e siècle. Les murs sont en moellons jusqu'au premier étage. Les blocages irréguliers de pierres et de briques dans les parties hautes semblent indiquer des réparations. Les assises régulières à la base des contreforts sont sans doute une restauration du 16e ou du 17e siècle. Aux étages des contreforts, les pierres mal appareillées et de diverses tailles sont probablement celles de la construction romane première. La tour est flanquée, au nord, d'une tourelle contenant un escalier en vis accédant aux cloches. Le portail de style flamboyant, en pierre moulurée, date du 15e ou du 16e siècle. De chaque côté du portail et autour de l'horloge, le revêtement de pierres gravées enduites de ciment coloré est le résultat d'un essai d'ornementation, genre florentin, datant du 19e siècle. L'étage des cloches s'ouvre par trois fenêtres à meneaux moulurés du 16e siècle. La fenêtre ogivale au-dessus du portail a sans doute été ouverte postérieurement. La toiture en bâtière avec pignons d'ardoises, a sans doute remplacé une toiture pyramidale ou un gros clocher octogonal.

History
Romanesque tower that could date from the 11th or 12th century. The walls are in rubble stone up to the first floor. The irregular blockings of stone and brick in the higher parts seem to indicate repairs. The regular courses at the base of the buttresses are probably a restoration from the 16th or 17th century. At the levels of the buttresses, the poorly dressed stones of various sizes are probably those of the first Romanesque construction. The tower is flanked, to the north, by a small tower containing a spiral staircase leading to the bells. The portal in flamboyant style, in moulded stone, dates from the 15th or 16th century. On each side of the portal and around the clock, the facing of engraved stones coated with coloured cement is the result of an attempt at ornamentation, Florentine style, dating from the 19th century. The bell floor opens with three mullioned windows with moulded mullions from the 16th century. The pointed arch window above the portal was probably opened later. The roof in gable form with slate gables probably replaced a pyramidal roof or a large octagonal bell tower.
