L'église est attestée au 11e siècle et dépendait alors de l'abbaye de la Trinité de Vendôme. Cependant, les parties les plus anciennes ne remontent pas au-delà du 12e siècle. Le choeur a été modifié à la fin du Moyen-Age. Le mur nord de la nef conserve les traces d'un décor peint sans doute du 13e siècle. Les peintures murales recouvrent pratiquement l'ensemble de la nef. Deux scènes de la fin du 15e ou du début du 16e siècle ont été identifiées. Sur le mur sud, le Dit des Trois Morts et des Trois Vifs laisse encore voir des gentilhommes descendus de leurs chevaux, ainsi que des cadavres armés d'une lance, d'une pelle et d'une faux. Au centre se dresse la croix du cimetière où se déroula la rencontre. En vis à vis a été peint un gigantesque Saint-Christophe. Cette iconographie est relativement peu courante dans le Loir-et-Cher. Les autres peintures révélées par les sondages sont plus difficiles à identifier. Près du choeur se trouvent les traces d'un décor du 13e siècle.

History
The church is attested in the 11th century and then depended on the abbey of la Trinité de Vendôme. However, the oldest parts do not date beyond the 12th century. The choir was modified at the end of the Middle Ages. The north wall of the nave preserves traces of painted decoration doubtless of the 13th century. Mural paintings cover practically the entire nave. Two scenes of the end of the 15th or beginning of the 16th century have been identified. On the south wall, the Dit des Trois Morts et des Trois Vifs still shows gentlemen descended from their horses, as well as armed corpses with a lance, a spade and a scythe. In the centre stands the cemetery cross where the encounter took place. Opposite has been painted a gigantic Saint-Christopher. This iconography is relatively uncommon in Loir-et-Cher. The other paintings revealed by the probing are more difficult to identify. Near the choir are found traces of decoration of the 13th century.
