La petite ville fut autrefois fortifiée, mais il reste peu de vestiges de l'enceinte. Selon la légende, Saint-Deodacus bâtit en ce lieu un ermitage. History
The small town was once fortified, but little remains of the enclosure. According to legend, Saint-Deodacus built a hermitage in this place. The miracles he performed there gathered an increasing number of inhabitants around him. The hermitage was converted into a monastery and a borough formed around it. Later, as the population increased, a defensive wall was built by the inhabitants. Maintained until the Wars of Religion, it was then destroyed and only a few towers remain. All these towers are in rubble stone. They are levelled and covered with flat tiles.
