History
A building must have existed on the site from Roman times. In 1525, the château is rebuilt after a fire. The disappearance of the owner, Nicolas de Foyal, in 1582, interrupted the project and, at that date, only the main dwelling was completed. His successor had the outbuildings and the chapel added. Surrounded by moats on three sides, the château consists of a rectangular main dwelling flanked by two cylindrical towers on the north side and a wing at right angles terminated by another tower.
