History
From an initial manor, the construction of a large main dwelling is undertaken between 1610 and 1620. In 1738, construction of a low wing on the alignment of the main body, and the addition of two corbelled turrets, one of which was destroyed in 1972. The interior is adorned with Louis XV panelling. A vault allows communication between the two parts of the park above the road. In 1628, Richelieu is said to have stayed in this château on his return from the siege of La Rochelle.
