Le château est constitué de deux édifices joints, d'époques différentes (16e et 18e siècle). Le plus ancien remplace lui-même un édifice antérieur. Il se compose d'un bâtiment rectangulaire flanqué de deux tours rondes. Le bâtiment plus récent lui est accolé, formant un angle important. L'aile en retour d'équerre date également de la fin du 18e siècle et est percée, en son centre, d'un porche. Ce dernier est formé d'un arc en plein cintre, cantonné de demi colonnes géminées qui soutiennent un entablement décoré de triglyphes supportant une corniche sur laquelle reposent quatre pilastres cannelés. Un fronton triangulaire les surmonte. Cette aile est prolongée au sud par un bâtiment annexe du 18e siècle, auquel est accolée une tour qui servait de pigeonnier. L'agencement des pièces intérieures est représentatif du 18e siècle. A cette époque, le jardin semble avoir fait l'objet d'aménagements importants dont témoignent un certain nombre de fabriques. Le moulin à eau, dit de Gièvre, de la fin du 18e siècle, se présente sous la forme d'une fabrique chinoise. Le mécanisme a été entièrement conservé.

History
The castle consists of two joined buildings, of different periods (16th and 18th century). The oldest replaces itself an earlier building. It comprises a rectangular building flanked by two round towers. The more recent building is attached to it, forming a significant angle. The return wing at right angles also dates from the end of the 18th century and is pierced, at its centre, by a porch. The latter is formed by a round arch, flanked by paired half columns which support an entablature decorated with triglyphs supporting a cornice on which rest four fluted pilasters. A triangular pediment surmounts them. This wing is extended to the south by an 18th-century annexe building, to which is attached a tower which served as a dovecote. The arrangement of the interior rooms is representative of the 18th century. At this period, the garden appears to have been the subject of important development of which a number of garden buildings bear witness. The water mill, called the mill of Gièvre, of the end of the 18th century, presents itself in the form of a Chinese garden building. The mechanism has been entirely preserved.
