History
The former castle dates from the 15th century, but was completely remodelled, and perhaps enlarged, in the 17th century. One of the rooms presents exposed joists decorated with decorative paintings that may date back to the time of Louis XIII. The fireplace surround in stone is decorated with painted architectural trompe l'oeil decoration. At the centre, a painting appears to depict an antique scene showing a figure advancing towards a woman accompanied by warriors, with vessels represented in the background.
