Ce château, édifié au début du 17e siècle (terminé en 1620) à la place d'un édifice plus ancien auquel appartinrent des caves voûtées, a été vendu sous le Directoire à Charles Bagieu, régisseur des Vivres de la Grande Armée, qui l'a restauré et a fait aménager le parc (implantation d'espèces rares sur les rives du Cosson, construction d'une orangerie). L'intérieur a conservé des peintures et devises décorant plafonds et boiseries. Des cheminées monumentales chauffent le salon et la salle à manger. Un bâtiment du début du 19e siècle prolonge le château à l'ouest.

History
This château, built at the beginning of the 17th century (completed in 1620) in place of an older building to which belonged vaulted cellars, was sold under the Directory to Charles Bagieu, controller of Provisions of the Grande Armée, who restored it and had the park arranged (planting of rare species on the banks of the Cosson, construction of an orangery). The interior has retained paintings and mottoes decorating ceilings and panelling. Monumental fireplaces heat the drawing room and the dining room.
