Le fief des Diorières relevait de celui de Chauvigny. Le château actuel a été construit en 1737, remplaçant un château primitif détruit lors d'un incendie. De l'ancien château subsiste les douves disposées autour d'un espace rectangulaire marqué aux angles nord-ouest, et sud-ouest d'une tour ronde. Le château se compose d'un corps de logis rectangulaire dont la partie centrale est surmontée d'un fronton triangulaire. L'intérieur a été entièrement refait à la fin du 19e siècle.

History
The fief of the Diorières came under that of Chauvigny. The present château was built in 1737, replacing a primitive château destroyed in a fire. Of the old château there remain the moats arranged around a rectangular space marked at the north-west and south-west corners by a round tower. The château consists of a rectangular main dwelling whose central part is topped by a triangular pediment. The interior was entirely redone at the end of the 19th century.
