Cathedral rebuilt in the 12th and then 16th centuries. In 1678, a hurricane destroys the edifice which is rebuilt again from 1680 to 1700 and dedicated to Saint-Louis (originally, the cathedral was dedicated to Saint-Peter then Saint-Solenne).
