History
Feudal towers flanked the angles of a castle built by Henry II Plantagenet in 1160. The north and south towers date from the third quarter of the 12th century, while the old palace dates from the 16th and 18th centuries. The north building, from the 16th century, was the former residence of the governors of Tours. The west building, from the 18th century, built between the two towers, was intended to serve as an annex to it.
