Historique
L'hôtel a été construit par un marchand en 1733 ou 1734. Selon une tradition, Choiseul y aurait séjourné pendant son exil à Chanteloup, entre 1771 et 1774, alors qu'il était gouverneur de Touraine. Précédé d'une cour limitée à l'est par un mur en demi-lune percé d'une porte cochère, au nord et au sud par des bâtiments de communs, toutes constructions élevées au 19e siècle, l'hôtel a sa façade principale couronnée d'un fronton triangulaire. Un escalier dont la rampe de bois à balustres a son départ formé par une large volute, conduit aux étages supérieurs. Au premier étage, les chambres ont conservé leurs boiseries qui ont été peintes. Deux d'entre elles sont chauffées chacune par une cheminée en bois ornée de rinceaux.

History
The hotel was built by a merchant in 1733 or 1734. According to tradition, Choiseul would have stayed there during his exile at Chanteloup, between 1771 and 1774, when he was governor of Touraine. Preceded by a courtyard bounded on the east by a crescent-shaped wall pierced by a carriage gate, on the north and south by service buildings, all constructions raised in the 19th century, the hotel has its main façade crowned with a triangular pediment. A staircase whose wooden baluster railing has its departure formed by a wide volute, leads to the upper storeys. On the first floor, the bedrooms have retained their painted woodwork. Two of them are each heated by a wooden fireplace ornamented with arabesques.
