Historique

History
The castle occupies the place of a fortress of the 15th century of which no trace remains. It was probably rebuilt in the 18th century, and was greatly altered and transformed by the Duchess of Dino after 1825. The chapel was erected in 1840, in place of the chamber occupied by Talleyrand. The building comprises a main building body developing between two square pavilions. The central bay of the facade presents two superimposed porticoes, of four columns, supporting a triangular pediment decorated with the arms of Talleyrand, supported by two eagles. To the east of the south pavilion an L-shaped wing develops, formed of a ground floor surmounted by a terrace. On this terrace is found the chapel. The facade of this oratory presents a portico supporting a triangular pediment above which are three bas-reliefs representing, at the centre the Coronation of the Virgin, on the left a baptism, on the right the communion of a shepherdess. The common buildings are a long building erected to the north.
