Historique
Ancien fief relevant de la châtellenie de Benais. Le logis du 16e siècle présente un étage sur rez-de-chaussée et un comble éclairé de lucarnes. La façade sud est accompagnée d'une tour hexagonale contenant une vis de pierre. Au premier étage, deux des salles sont chauffées par des cheminées à hotte oblique. Le manteau de l'une d'elles est décoré d'une peinture avec rinceaux et feuillages. Une décoration picturale civile pouvant dater du 16e siècle, subsiste dans la salle ouest du premier étage. Des arbres sont disposés de part et d'autre de représentations animales. Une seule scène est à personnage.

History
Former fief subject to the castellany of Benais. The 16th-century main dwelling presents a storey above ground level and a roof space lit by dormers. The south façade is accompanied by a hexagonal tower containing a stone spiral staircase. On the first storey, two of the rooms are heated by oblique hood chimneys. The mantelpiece of one of them is decorated with a painting with scrollwork and foliage. Civil pictorial decoration possibly dating from the 16th century survives in the west room of the first storey. Trees are arranged on either side of animal representations. Only one scene contains figures.
