Historique

History
Former fief dependent on the castle of Roncée. The castle was abandoned after the Revolution. The chapel was destroyed in the early 20th century. It is a building from the end of the 16th century and the beginning of the 17th century, presenting a homogeneous plan: a quadrilateral with a central courtyard and square corner pavilions. The entrance was made on the west by a gatehouse with a drawbridge. The east wing is occupied by a gallery and has completely preserved the decoration of its external masonry, its joinery and roof structures. Remain in the lower courtyard buildings from the end of the 16th or beginning of the 17th century, including an important dovecot, older. This residence prefigures classical architecture (pediments, pilasters) and represents one of the rare examples in Touraine of second Renaissance architecture.
