Les restes du donjon se dressent sur un promontoire commandant la vallée de l'Indre (anciennes dépendances de l'abbaye de Cormery). Il daterait environ de l'an 1000 et fut remanié aux 11e et 12e siècles pour les nécessités de la défense. Les ruines existantes se composent du donjon qui devait comprendre trois étages sur rez-de-chaussée, et d'une petite tour rectangulaire adossée au donjon qui devait peut-être contenir l'escalier desservant les étages.

History
The remains of the keep stand on a promontory commanding the valley of the Indre (former dependencies of Cormery Abbey). It would date from around the year 1000 and was modified in the 11th and 12th centuries for defence requirements. The existing ruins consist of the keep which must have comprised three storeys above ground level, and a small rectangular tower attached to the keep which may have contained the staircase serving the upper storeys.
