Fief held of the castle of Nouatre. In 1700, the fief was erected into a castellany, then into a marquisate in 1718. In 1667, a parish church was built at the location of the former seigneurial chapel. The castle was built or begun at the same period, and was never completed. Built to the north of a rectangular enclosure surrounded by walls, the complex comprises a church, a presbytery, a prétoire, two pavilions, the castle and the pigeon house. The church is in classical style with façade crowned by a pediment. The transept was accompanied by two chapels of which only that to the north remains. In 1678 the calvary chapel was added. The presbytery is situated behind the church. The prétoire presents itself as a small building with arcades. The two pavilions served as lodging for staff and as a stable. The castle comprises a central main dwelling and a wing extending it to the north, as well as a wing symmetrical to the south and a building mass projected to the east, never built. The cylindrical pigeon house dates from 1683.
