Le château se compose de deux ailes, mêlant forteresse médiévale et ouverture sur la Renaissance. Construit au début du règne de Louis XI. En 1496, y est célébré le mariage d'Anne de Bretagne avec Louis XII. Sous l'aile sud du château, se trouvent des caves creusées dans le calcaire, dont quelques-unes à deux étages s'étendent jusque sous la cour du château, passant sous les fondations. Elles sont sans doute postérieures à la construction de l'édifice.

History
The castle consists of two wings, blending medieval fortress and Renaissance openness. Built at the beginning of the reign of Louis XI. In 1496, the marriage of Anne of Brittany to Louis XII was celebrated there. Beneath the south wing of the castle are cellars hollowed out in limestone, some with two storeys extending even beneath the castle courtyard, passing under the foundations. They are doubtless later than the construction of the building.
