Historique

History
In place of a castle elevated in the 12th or 14th century, of which the foundations of a tower remain, a fortified manor was built in the 15th century. The castle was completed in 1556. In 1560, construction of the pavilion accompanied by a stair tower. Late 16th century, construction of the adjoining main dwelling, to the south, of the Hodon pavilion. A 16th century door with carriage entrance and small gate provides access to the rectangular courtyard. On the opposite side, to the west, this is bounded by the residential buildings comprising the ruins of the 15th century dwelling, the 1560 pavilion, the 17th century main building. A 17th century structure occupied the south-west angle of the enclosure, but was destroyed in 1860, at the same time as the chapel and dovecote located to the south of the courtyard. At right angles on the north side are the outbuildings raised around 1600. Projecting on the enclosure wall, to the west, remains a 15th century polygonal tower, which has retained part of its machicolations. To the south of this tower are the foundations of a 15th century oven. To the north remain the substructures of an old tower from the 13th and 14th century. In the north-east angle of the courtyard is a casemate with a staircase leading to an underground passage. To the south of the courtyard remains the 15th century well, with its 17th century roof.
