Le chemin qui traverse le hameau des Cormiers était autrefois une partie de la route reliant Tours à Angers. Les Cormiers étaient, sur cette route, un relai de poste important. Ils formaient un fief relevant de Champchevrier. Il y avait trois hôtelleries, celle de Saint-Louis a, seule, conservé son aspect ancien. Les bâtiments se développent sur les quatre côtés d'une cour carrée. L'accès se fait par un porche non voûté, limité par deux arcades en arc surbaissé et surmonté d'un pigeonnier en bois et hourdis. Aux angles nord-ouest et à l'ouest, l'habitation comprend un pavillon carré, en angle, élevé d'un rez-de-chaussée, d'un étage et d'un comble ; un bâtiment élevé d'un rez-de-chaussée et d'un comble, adjacent par son mur pignon nord au pavillon précédent. History
The path which crosses the hamlet of Cormiers was formerly part of the road connecting Tours to Angers. The Cormiers were, on this road, an important relay stage. They formed a fief falling under Champchevrier. There were three inns, that of Saint-Louis alone has preserved its old appearance. The buildings develop on the four sides of a square courtyard. Access is by an unvaulted porch, limited by two segmental arch arcades and surmounted by a timber and rubble infill dovecote. At the north-west angles and to the west, the dwelling comprises a corner square pavilion, raised of a ground floor, one storey and roof space; a building raised of a ground floor and roof space, adjacent by its north gable wall to the preceding pavilion. To the south and east of the courtyard, as well as to the north-east, are found the stables and remises.
