Le pignon est percé de trois grandes fenêtres superposées, dont les tableaux étaient décorés de profondes moulurations et accostés de pilastres plats à chapiteaux corinthiens. Traces de meneaux aux étages inférieurs. La maison est flanquée, à l'angle, d'une tourelle reposant sur un cul de lampe dont l'encorbellement est fait de quatre rangs de mouluration. A côté de la maison et contre l'encorbellement, se trouve un porche en anse de panier à clef et sommiers saillants. Tallien y résida six semaines, lorsqu'il vint à Chinon comme délégué de la République, à la tête de l'Etat major chargé de mettre fin aux guerres de Vendée.

History
The gable is pierced by three large superimposed windows, the sills of which were decorated with deep mouldings and flanked by flat pilasters with Corinthian capitals. Traces of mullions on the lower storeys. The house is flanked, at the corner, by a turret resting on a corbel whose corbelling consists of four rows of moulding. Next to the house and against the corbelling, is a porch in basket-handle arch with key and projecting voussoirs. Tallien resided there for six weeks, when he came to Chinon as a delegate of the Republic, at the head of the general staff charged with ending the wars of Vendée.
