Historique
Beaumont fut d'abord une châtellenie relevant de Maillé et dont le premier seigneur est cité en 1108. D'un château du 13e siècle subsiste un donjon carré découronné de son chemin de ronde et de son étage supérieur en 1780. Chaque angle possédait une tourelle en encorbellement, dont il ne subsiste que celle du nord. Au 16e siècle, les murs Est et sud furent percés de fenêtres accostées de pilastres. En même temps fut élevée une tour octogonale en briques. Le logis d'habitation se développe au nord du donjon. La façade a été refaite au 18e siècle. De 1874 à 1880, il a été prolongé par une construction de style Louis XII.

History
Beaumont was first a castellany depending on Maillé and whose first known lord is cited in 1108. From a 13th-century castle there remains a square keep stripped of its rampart walk and its upper storey in 1780. Each angle possessed a corbelled turret, of which only the north one remains. In the 16th century, the east and south walls were pierced with windows flanked by pilasters. At the same time an octagonal tower in brick was erected. The dwelling house extends to the north of the keep. The façade was remade in the 18th century. From 1874 to 1880, it was extended by a construction in Louis XII style.
