Cette porte a dû être construite par Jean II de Brosse vers la fin de la guerre de Cent ans, à l'emplacement d'une ancienne porte garitée. Elle fut probablement bâtie après le siège subit par la ville en 1437, et vers 1440. Elle faisait communiquer la ville ancienne avec le chastel et la ville neuve. History
This door must have been built by Jean II de Brosse towards the end of the Hundred Years War, on the site of an old garitied door. It was probably built after the siege suffered by the town in 1437, and around 1440. It provided communication between the old town and the chastel and the new town. It presents two pointed-arch openings, pierced in a square pavilion.
