History
Fortress built by order of Malta, remodelled around 1455. In 1589, the Leaguers enter the château and pillage the chapel. In 1793, the château is sold as national property. The chapel with apsidioles and aisles is destroyed. The building presents itself as a rectangular mass flanked by four towers. A spiral staircase serves the whole of the château, located in the square tower formerly of greater height. There were other staircases in the towers. Vestiges of corbels mark the departure of the fortified enclosure which also surrounded the chapel.
