History
The present-day château follows the type of the 15th-century château-cour. Of octagonal plan, it is flanked by pavilions and round towers at the angles, and is surrounded by moats. The building was the subject of an important campaign of works in the 19th century, which bore essentially on the openings, the coverings and the interior arrangements. The main body of the dwelling was enlarged in depth to create a gallery on the ground floor and on the upper storey. The west facade was raised in the second half of the 19th century. The interior preserves a monumental fireplace of the second half of the 16th century, bearing painted decoration.
